Where to Turn in an Emergency

Dingin Psychology is not an emergency intervention centre. If you have thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, or if your life is in danger, please follow the steps below.

In an emergency

  • 112 Emergency Call Centre: Life-threatening danger, suicide attempt, severe crisis.
  • ALO 183 Social Support Line: Domestic violence, child and women support services, free 24/7.
  • ALO 182 MHRS: Hospital appointments, for applying to a psychiatry outpatient clinic.
  • The emergency department of the nearest hospital: For emergency psychiatric evaluation.

How can you help yourself during a crisis?

  1. Move to a safe place; if someone you trust is near, ask them to stay with you.
  2. Remove objects you could harm yourself with.
  3. Breathe slowly: in for 4 seconds, out for 6 seconds.
  4. Call 112 even if you do not want to talk to anyone.

Contacting our centre

Between scheduled sessions you can write to our booking line for non-urgent questions. Messages are answered during working hours and must not be used for emergencies.

Remember: asking for help is not a weakness but a strong first step.

The first step is small: a free 20-minute call

Pick a suitable time and a specialist will call you. You do not have to decide anything; let us just meet.
